Miami Jewish Health Systems Promotes Jodi Pascal To Director Of Clinical Education

MIAMI – March 30, 2015 – Miami Jewish Health Systems, one of the largest providers of healthcare for seniors in the Southeast, recently promoted Jodi Pascal RN, MSHSA, MPA and MSW to Director of Clinical Education. Previously, Ms. Pascal was the Manager of Nursing & Quality for the Douglas Gardens Hospital as well as an adjunct professor of health service administration at Barry University School of Professional And Career Education.

In her new role, Ms. Pascal will provide leadership and oversight of all education for Miami Jewish Health Systems.

Along with colleagues in her department, Ms. Pascal will work with leadership to develop program curricula, plus oversee and monitor clinical competencies. She will also be charged with developing education and training programs to improve the overall quality of patient care.

Ms. Pascal, who will report directly to Vice President of Human Resources, Elisa Hernandez, will play an important role in supporting the mission and vision of Miami Jewish Health Systems. She will be tasked with increasing the training to improve overall quality of patient care.

“Jodi’s dedication to educating and helping those around her is an inspiration to all who work with her or have the opportunity to learn from her,” said Ms. Hernandez. “Under her leadership, we are sure our educational and training programs will be elevated, giving staff, patient and residents opportunities for better knowledge and care.”

Before joining Miami Jewish Health Systems, Ms. Pascal held roles including Registered Nurse Supervisor and Patient Care Administrator with Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, where she developed curriculum and supervised a tri-county team of program educators. She was also the Clinical Educator at Guldmann, Inc., as well as held various positions at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Medical Center.

Ms. Pascal received her Master of Science in Social Work and Master of Public Administration from Florida International University. She also holds a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Barry University.
