Continuing the Tradition of Caring: Miami Jewish Foundation

The Miami Jewish Health Systems Foundation Inc., was formed in 2004, as the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged Foundation, Inc. As a nonprofit foundation, we changed our name in 2011 so as to better support the Miami Jewish Health Systems and its entities through cultivating philanthropic support for patient services, facilities, program and service development, indigent care, medical education and research.

Much of the Foundation’s work in the early years was the preservation of endowment funds and the funding of capital needs that helped Miami Jewish Health Systems become the largest and most innovative provider of healthcare for seniors in the Southeast.

Today the Foundation still supports the needs of the home and hospital, but does so with a loftier goal of keeping Miami Jewish Health Systems at the forefront of dynamic healthcare for our senior citizens. Whether it’s expanding care, physical space or minds through research, Miami Jewish Health Systems Foundation continues to partner with generous donors to bring the highest level of health care to our community.

We invite you to join the Foundation in our efforts as we Continue our Tradition of Caring!

The FOUNDERS are an elite group of individuals who give a minimum of $50,000 to Miami Jewish Health Systems. Their dedication and commitment to our mission is not only vital to our success, but also sets the standard for philanthropic giving throughout the community. We recognize and thank our FOUNDERS for their continued support.

They are the proud sponsors of Love on Wheels, an important campus enrichment program that funds the salaries of 10 part-time wheelchair transporters, whose sole responsibility is to move residents to and from various activities throughout the tropical 20+-acre Douglas Gardens campus. They also support a wide variety of campus enrichment programs and activities for residents of Miami Jewish Health Systems and help enrich lives through education and socialization. Membership in the Miami Jewish Health Systems Auxiliary begins at $36.00 per year.
