Jeffrey P. Freimark is Miami Jewish Health’s President and Chief Executive Officer. He is also an elected Councilman in the Village of Bal Harbour. Mr. Freimark was named one of the Top 10 CEOs in Miami-Dade county by South Florida Business Journal. Prior to joining Miami Jewish Health, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Information Officer for Intelstat, one of the largest operators of commercial satellites worldwide. This followed his being Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Information Officer for Beverly Enterprises – one of the largest national operators of long term care facilities, rehabilitation, hospice and other healthcare segments. In addition, he has held the position of Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for OfficeMax. Mr. Freimark holds CPA licenses in Florida and New Jersey and is licensed to practice law in New Jersey. He is a graduate of New York Law School (JD), New York University Stern School of Business (MBA) and the University of South Florida (BA).
Robert J. Becht has extensive management and leadership experience spanning healthcare, legal, and university organizations. His almost 20 years of healthcare management experience culminated in serving as CEO for a multi-state, multi-facility healthcare organization dedicated primarily to geriatric healthcare delivery. Most recently, Rob held the position of Executive Director for Finance and Administration at the University of Miami Business School. Prior to his work at the University of Miami, Rob spent over 10 years at the University of Notre Dame as Senior Director of Finance and Administration directing the financial, administrative and operational aspects of Notre Dame’s largest academic division, the College of Arts and Letters. Before his career in higher education, he practiced law as an associate attorney with the firm of Snell and Wilmer in Phoenix, AZ specializing in healthcare and corporate law. Rob graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance/Accounting, summa cum laude from the University of Miami with an MBA in Health Administration and magna cum laude from Notre Dame Law School.
Brian J. Kiedrowski, M.D., leads the Miami Jewish Health team of physicians, works closely with the nursing staff, risk management and compliance departments and builds relationships with healthcare professionals in the community. Dr. Kiedrowski is board certified in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Care. Prior to joining the organization, he was Vice President and Medical Director at Catholic Hospice. He also worked at Moorings Park Continuing Care Retirement Community, the Wellness Clinic and Skilled Nursing Unit at Glenview Residences and had his own private practice in Naples.
David J. Pagano is responsible for Nursing/Clinical Operations for the organization. He brings over 30 years of experience providing strategic leadership and clinical management in the multi-facility senior care arena, primarily skilled post-acute care, long term care and assisted living. David was Vice President of Clinical Operations/Chief Nursing Officer for Trinity Senior Living Communities currently operating 40 senior communities in 7 states. David has also served as Vice President of Clinical Operations for SAVA Senior Care responsible for the clinical operations of 138 senior care facilities in the states of Texas and California, a position he held for over 12 years. Before joining MJH he was Vice President of Clinical Operations for Integrace Health in Maryland, operating skilled, assisted living, independent living communities and on-site clinics including Copper Ridge, a nationally recognized dementia care facility associated with Johns Hopkins University. David received his B.S. in Nursing from D’youville College, School of Nursing in Buffalo, NY.
Cliff Bauer is Miami Jewish Health Vice President – Government Relations. He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in senior positions in hospital and healthcare organizations located in Missouri, Texas, Arkansas, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida. In the past, he’s worked with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), Tenet and Leon Medical Center Health Plans. In South Florida, he was Chief Executive Officer and President for Hialeah Hospital & Chief Executive Officer for North Ridge Medical Center and for Kindred Hospital. Cliff graduated from Saint Louis University with an MHA in Hospital and Healthcare Administration and received a BA in Biology from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Marc Agronin, M.D. is a board-certified adult and geriatric psychiatrist currently serving as Vice President, Behavioral Health and Clinical Research at Miami Jewish Health. Dr. Agronin’s clinical experience includes adults and elderly within the entire range of psychiatric illnesses. He is a graduate of Harvard University with a degree in psychology and philosophy and received his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Agronin trained in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and later completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. He has written numerous books and articles, including “Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias, A Practical Guide, 3rd Edition,” and the acclaimed “How We Age: A Doctor’s Journey into the Heart of Growing Old,” featured on NBC’s The Today Show and NPR’s Talk of the Nation. Dr. Agronin currently writes a regular blog for the Experts panel of the Wall Street Journal and lectures extensively around the country, including annual presentations at the U. S. Psychiatric Congress.
Elisa R. Hernandez, SPHR oversees all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment of talent, staff development, training, compensation and benefits administration as well as HR Information Systems. She brings over 20 years of experience in the field of human resources. Prior to joining Miami Jewish Health, Elisa was the Vice President of H.R. and Payroll at Sunrise Sport & Entertainment. She received her BS in Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University and has been a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources since 2002.
Dana Kulvin brings more than 20 years of academic and professional law experience to this position including regulatory healthcare, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance, plus HIV and AIDS advocacy. Before joining Miami Jewish Health as Director, for six years she was an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University’s School of Law teaching Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Dana received her Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, Columbia University and her J.D. and M.P.H. from Boston University.
Shaun Corbett, M. D., is the Medical Director of Rehabilitation Services and The Rosomoff Rehabilitation Center at Miami Jewish Health. Dr. Corbett leads a team of medical professionals treating patients who suffer from complex and chronic pain, such as amputees and patients with spinal cord and/or including work related injuries. His specialty is physical medicine and rehabilitation. Under Dr. Corbett’s leadership, Miami Jewish Health continues to maintain the excellent reputation that The Rosomoff Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center has built over the past 40 years, with the recognition as a “Center of Excellence” for the treatment of patients who suffer chronic pain. Dr. Corbett received s bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside and, prior to obtaining his medical degree from The Medical College of Wisconsin, spent time performing cancer research at the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Corbett completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. He previously held the title of Assistant Clinical Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine, and was the Medical Director of Cancer Rehabilitation at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
